The ASUS TUF VG27AQ is the best budget vertical monitor we've tested. It can deliver up to 65W to your Ultrabook or MacBook, enough to charge most smaller computers while you work. This greatly simplifies your connections, as you can leave your mouse and keyboard connected to the monitor, with a single USB-C cable running back to your laptop. It has great connectivity, with a built-in USB hub and a single USB-C port that supports power delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode. It's still a great choice for office users, with wide viewing angles, great peak brightness, and decent reflection handling, so glare isn't an issue in a moderately lit room. Although it has similarly fantastic ergonomics to the Acer Nitro XV282K KVbmiipruzx, it's worse overall, with a lower native resolution, so text isn't as sharp, and it performs worse for gaming, with a slower refresh rate and more noticeable motion blur. It's designed with productivity in mind and is well-built with incredible ergonomics. The best mid-range vertical monitor we've tested is the ASUS ProArt Display PA278CV. It has good connectivity, with a great selection of inputs and a built-in USB hub, so you can quickly connect your peripherals and input devices. It's excellent for gaming, with a high refresh rate and great response time, resulting in clear motion with very little blur behind fast-moving objects. It delivers good picture quality, with good peak brightness in SDR, excellent accuracy out of the box, and a fantastic SDR color gamut. It also has very good viewing angles, ensuring you see a consistent image regardless of how you place it. It rotates to a vertical orientation in either direction, so you can choose which way the inputs face, keeping your setup as clean as possible. It has exceptionally good ergonomics, so you can easily place it in an ideal viewing position. It's an impressive monitor overall, with a large, high-resolution screen that delivers impressive text clarity. The best monitor for vertical use we've tested is the Acer Nitro XV282K KVbmiipruzx.
